A Woman’s Friend provides over 99% accurate* pregnancy tests. During pregnancy, a woman’s body produces a hormone called hCG, found in urine and blood very early in pregnancy. Our tests contain antibodies which specifically react with this hormone.
*Accuracy based on detecting typical pregnancy hormone levels from day of expected period. Individual hormone levels may vary.
A Woman’s Friend is happy to provide you with a verification of the pregnancy test for free for each individual with a positive test result. This documentation can be used to apply for state health insurance.
A verification of pregnancy will be provided upon request during your visit with the nurse which may or may not be on the same day as your initial visit
A Woman’s Friend offers limited first-trimester ultrasounds to qualifying clients. We require an initial pregnancy test to be performed at A Woman’s Friend and a visit with a client advocate before an ultrasound is performed. The ultrasound examination will not diagnose gender, abnormalities, and/or problems.
The ultrasound appointment will be scheduled during the appointment with the client advocate and may or may not be the same day as your initial visit.
A Woman’s Friend offers Jump Start, our pre-parenting program, offering opportunities for learning and personal growth as a “parent to be” along with earning Baby Bucks reward money to exchange for needed baby items from our Rewards Catalog.
A “parent to be” commits to weekly one-on-one meetings with a trained mentor completing lessons that equip them to be informed and confident parents of newborns.
A Woman’s Friend offers gently used baby items and clothing for ages newborn to 24 months as well as maternity clothes.
Lives Set Free! is an abortion recovery program which provides support to women who have experienced an abortion, and to men who have been involved in, or were excluded from, an abortion decision.
Many women struggle with thoughts and memories of an abortion. Some women may even experience post-abortion syndrome which is a type of post traumatic stress disorder. It occurs when a woman is unable to work through her emotional response from the trauma of an abortion. Lives Set Free! offers healing to anyone experiencing any post abortion symptoms who would like to find genuine, caring help. Our post-abortion groups are led by trained volunteers who truly understand the heartache which so often follows an abortion.
Reality Check provides our community’s youth with the message of sexual integrity in a way it has never been presented before.
This initiative is a unique sexual and relational health education program created specifically for middle and high school aged adolescents. It is designed to prevent teenage pregnancy through the promotion of sexual integrity, emphasizing the emotional, physical and social benefits of postponing sex

When you meet with your Client Advocate from A Woman’s Friend for a free pregnancy test, you will receive community referrals to help you with any of your immediate concerns and needs. There are many community organizations providing a wide range of services for women experiencing an unplanned pregnancy.
